Buckwild for a second season

After a successful First season of buck wild on MTV . MTV said today that it has picked up raunchy freshman series Buckwild for a second season. The announcement comes just one day before Thursday’s season finale of the hit reality series about a group of small-town West Virginia thrill-seeking young adults.

The so called “Jersey Shore of the Appalachia”, the controversial series debuted on January 3, 2012 to an audience of 2.49 million viewers and a 1.4 rating over its back-to-back episodes. That was over a million viewers more than the 1.375 million who watched the premiere of Jersey Shore in 2009. Buckwild has averaged 3 million viewers an episode in its first season.
