Potato Salad Kick Starter Charity Event

Columbus, OH (AH) By now you have all heard about the potato salad Kickstarter charity event. What a great way for a community to come together. Donation came in from all over. This is such an easy concept that started out to be a joke. Get it easy as potato salad. But it is just a positive story and in a time with so much negative news why not just make sure everyone hears about it.

Zack Brown turned a joke on kickstarted for $10.00 to over $55,000 dollars for what turned into a charity event for the homeless. It started out with crowd funding to get the eventual ingredients for the first attempt of trying to make a home made potato salad. With such a great response he was able to throw a party with the catch line “ Peace,Love and Potato Salad.”

Dubbed PotatoStock as in a spoof on Woodstock, it took place in downtown Columbus with food trucks, beer, some bands and of course potato salad. estimated to have more than 3,000 pounds of the starchy deist ready for all to enjoy a carbohydrate kick start to the event.

With the help of many including the Columbus Foundation to support charities to fight homelessness and hunger, this was a great idea by Zack Brown to bring the community together and help people at the same time.

He is quoted as saying “ do the most good that I can.”
