Time to cool down, the Heat wave is over. With a 101-97 win, the Chicago Bulls halted Miami’s winning streak at 27 games this night march 27th 2013.

The run is the second-longest winning streak in NBA history, trailing only the 33-game win streak of the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers.

Without the 2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose and All-Star center Joakim Noah, the Bulls’ relentless defense and sharp shooting in the fourth quarter managed to stop the Heat six games short of their place in history.
